Left Untreated

"Left Untreated"

What must it be like
To lie side by side
And not have the honor
Of your skin be grazed
But left untreasured
To then be doused
With no pleasure of envelopment
And no growth to be bestowed

No saturation of kisses
Or warmth of breath
In one's waiting ears
Where is the cherish hope
If there is no fruition
Such mourning of passion
That has long since withered
Only to be left untreated

Well I wish I could say truly happy ... but as I was on my way to class had to settle for what was in my car.. and that included nothing but books on Aquinas... getting a little sick of the man but hey at least the paper is written...

So here's my question... Whenever I read poetry I try to imagine the situation that brings the feeling behind the words - so my first thoughts were of a marriage or at least lover situation where there is no longer the love and tenderness.. is that what you intended? In other words did I read it wrong?

HAHA!!! Your answer is in the opening line. It's I guess a what is scenario. The person is wondering what if they didn't have that love they are experiencing. Wondering what must if feel like for those that don't have it. Like they can't imagine it but thinks perhaps it's what's described in the poem. Like what if their spouse, lover whoever never graced them with the love they have. Perhaps, what if it disappeared or what if their love one never showed them the love they have. What must it be like? I would imagine someone growing up with love all their lives wouldn't know what's it like to not be love in general.
Perhaps the person in the poem observe a love less union and began to wonder how could they be together and not have love?
Hopefully you'll enjoy my other poem that is I suppose opposite to this one. HAHA!!! Maybe it will make you smile or even blush. HEHE!!!
I write silly poems. Don't mind me.

Well, Hello yourself Rianne....
Fine here but not too many visitors here. Not sure if I want to continue this. But oh well.....
Yeah, this poem is sort of sad. But I suppose I should put up the other one I wrote with this one. No, it is not the rain one. HeHe!! I was going to wait a few days to post up that other poem, but I'll go ahead and post it.
