Unfortunately I didn't have such a great day. First my lappy kept acting up so I couldn't get on line for long with my e-line buddy for our daily morning chat. Then I had to go to the doctors for my results and I'm not thrill with the findings. Don't worry, I'm not dying.
Then while quickly visiting my Mom, I found her foot ulcer infected. She's diabetic and you can't just leave that unattended.
We were in that emergency waiting for 5 hours to be seen. But she's okay now. Thus, my surprise had to me postponed till later in the week.
Came home late not eating anything all day so I was starved. But, Hubby made me a delicious dinner, just had to eat it late. Then I get all happy to indulge eating my favorite cake, (lemon, homemade box) and found it cold. I hate cold cake. It was sweet of my daughter to make it, unfortunately hubby accidentally put it in the fridge. And it's freezing in my apartment. Grrrrr...So I didn't enjoy my favorite cake.
As to presents, my son made me a beautiful card and my daughter got me "Bride and Prejudice" DVD. Bollywood version of "Pride and Prejudice." (Yay!) Hubby got me a warm robe (double Yay!!)and a couple of other nice things. I just have to wait for my surprise. I hope it's good. HEHE!

I think this is what birthdays are all about ... being a shambles!!
I hope you are okay and that your Mum is better soon.
But on the brightside it sounds like you were able to spend at least some part of the day with each member of your family which is always nice!!
And typical man about the cake! Thats so sweet of your daughter to make it!!
And on top of that... you still get your surprise! You can have two birthdays now!! That's cool - Like the Queen! She has two aswell!!

Awwe....Bless you dear Rianne for making me see the bright side of it all. It wasn't all bad. And yes, the anticipation of that promised surprise is keeping my spirits up. HEHE!!!
